The Sanctuary
Weekend Retreat

FRI 27 – SUN 29 NOV  ·  HEALESVILLE

The Invitation

Time to put everything
down and simply be.

This is your permission to rest. Fully, without guilt. To slow down, move gently, eat beautifully, and let your nervous system find its way back to ease.

We've held the container. You just have to show up.

The Place

Maitripa Centre

Healesville, Upper Yarra Valley

Nestled in the Upper Yarra Valley, just 6.5km from Healesville and an hour and fifteen minutes from Melbourne CBD, Maitripa is one of those rare places that asks nothing of you except that you slow down.

Set on 50 acres of forest and gardens established in the early twentieth century, the property is alive with beautiful walks, sweeping vistas, and air that feels genuinely clean.

· 1 hour 15 minutes from Melbourne CBD

· 6.5km from Healesville

The Schedule

Your Weekend

What it feels like to be here

Friday: Arrive & Exhale

Drop your bags, settle into your room. A welcome circle, optional energy clearing, a nourishing dinner, and a restorative yoga and sound bath to close the day gently.

Saturday: Ground & Release

A gentle yoga practice to start your day, breakfast and on-site coffee, time in nature, breathwork and yin yoga. The afternoon is yours to move through in your own way. The evening holds a fire release ceremony and another deeply restorative yoga and sound bath event.

Sunday: Embody & Return

Morning yoga, a slow breakfast, an embodiment practice for those who feel called. Lunch and a closing circle to send you home whole.

The weekend has a natural rhythm, but it's yours to move through in your own way.

Healesville Wellness Retreat - deepen your connection

with Larry Turnley, Dianne Johnston , Fiona Hyde & Jenny Bozovic

This is a grand adventure of opening what has been closed inside of you so that your energy can flow freely again and you can know the joy of being alive ~ Mary O’Malley

This residential retreat offers an opportunity to experience, and strengthen, your connection to energy, largely through the modality of Reiki.

Reiki is Unconditional Love: when given from one person to another sometimes miracles occur

~ Hawayo Takata, Reiki Master

Did you know that there is a powerful, unseen life force within you, that flows through your physical body via junctions (chakras), nourishing your cells and organs along the way, all the while maintaining your overall health, vitality, and wellness?

The Japanese word Reiki, translates to mean Universal Life Energy, or Universal Life Force. Reiki is a simple, natural, healing technique that utilises the universal life force to improve health and wellbeing and enhance quality of life. The flow of life energy through us is what keeps us alive. Yet this flow is uneven for many. The stresses and tensions of daily living and our thought patterns, combine to create blocks and imbalances to the flow. These blocks are reflected in the body and can manifest as malfunctions or disease.

Reiki accelerates the body’s ability to heal physical ailments and opens the mind to the causes of disease and pain, the necessity for taking responsibility for one’s life and the joys of balanced health. It can also ease tension and anxiety, raise the general level of energy and feeling of well-being, and promote positive personal growth.

The gift of Reiki is the feeling of being reconnected to your source, of ‘coming home’.

Often the hands will solve a mystery that the intellect has struggled with in vain ~ C G Jung

As well as experiencing three individual Reiki sessions during this retreat, yoga and meditation will be offered each morning between 7-8am. This will be followed by breakfast. When you are not scheduled to have a Reiki session, you will be free to enjoy a walk around the grounds of Maitripa, rest, read, journal or converse with others. Lunch will be offered at 12.30pm and an ‘Energy Circle’, including a discussion about Reiki philosophy, will take place at 5pm on Saturday. Dinner will be served at 6.00pm, and this will be followed by an evening meditation.

Retreat package includes:

· Three individual reiki sessions

· Morning yoga/meditation sessions

· Energy circle including discussion of Reiki philosophy

· Evening meditation sessions

· Two night’s accommodation in your own room (shared bathroom facilities)

· Gourmet vegetarian and gluten-free meals – two breakfasts, two lunches, twodinners (all dietary requirements catered for)

Check-in is available from 2pm onwards on Friday May 17th

Check-out will be at 2pm on Sunday May 19th

Facilitators:

Larry's first discovery into self acceptance and self love came from pursuing his interest in Numerology, over 30 years ago. He studied with the late Judy McShanag in Melbourne in 1987 and has been reading for individuals ever since, with a continued passion for perfecting his understanding and intrigue with how Numerology impacts our lives.

Larry’s Reiki teachings began over 25 years ago and he has been running Reiki Level 1 and Reiki Level 2 Courses since 2013.

Learning how to look at himself has been his biggest challenge and, by taking ownership in his own life, he now teaches in a unique way with humour and optimism.

An eternal student, Fiona has been teaching yoga and meditation for 26 years and offering Reiki for the past two years having completed Reiki III training with Larry during 2021. The previous owner of Williamstown Yoga and Meditation, she has two children (17 & 20), a Masters Degree in Women’s Studies, and she has undertaken End-Of-Life Doula Training. A lover of retreats, Fiona absolutely revels in the opportunity to explore and share certain ‘matters of the heart and spirit’ in close connection with other seekers.

Cost: $940 to confirm your spot on this retreat, a $250.00 no-refundable deposit is required).

To book: please send an email to fionahyde1@gmail.com and we will forward a Registration Form.

One of the reasons I offer groups and retreats is so people can discover a place where they can be real and thus find out that everybody else has felt whatever they are feeling at some time in their life – and may even be feeling it right now ~ Mary O’Malle
