BREATH-WORK SESSION

Facilitators: Erin Wicks & Dianne Johnston

Session involves:

• Intention setting

• Guided meditation

• Embodied movement

• Breath-work Journey

• Body work through touch or massage

• Opportunity of essential oil use

• Music & Sound

• Integration with herbal teas and protein delights

• Connection to closed FB group for post session integration and support

Through the practice of conscious connected breathing we are invited to become more deeply in-tune with what we are currently experiencing in the body. This particular form of Trauma Release Breath-work has been developed by the knowledge of where tension can be distributed in the mind-body structure. This technique aims to breakthrough any layers of body armouring that may restricting the body in any way. This can be due to chronic stress/tension, trauma, emotional/physical pain or disease. Allowing the release of physical, emotional and psychological blockages therefore balancing the nervous system and the physicality of the body.

Once we have opened ourselves to this experience we can feel an intense sense of relief, calmness, groundedness or feel much lighter and energised. We may also find a deeper sense of connection to ourselves and therefore others around us.

Once we take the opportunity to do the internal work we begin to see the layers of ourselves peeling away. Through this work we can begin to let go of any negative self talk, chronic pain/tension and fear allowing more space to create new pathways for positivity, self compassion, free flowing physical movement and easier breathing. 

About the facilitators:

Erin Wicks:

Erin is a Breath-work Facilitator, Yoga/Meditation Teacher and Reiki Practitioner. Through her own personal development journey Erin was introduced to Breath-work and soon discovered profound benefits to her own health and well-being. This is now something she practices daily. She now runs 1:1 and group Breath-work and Meditation sessions in her local community of Ballarat and in Melbourne. Erin is very passionate about sharing the magic of Breath-work therapy with others to enhance self-care and deep healing.

Erin first met Dianne while completing her 350 hrs in Yoga Teacher Training in 2017 with the Australian Yoga Academy.


Dianne Johnston:

When Dianne established Think.Focus.Act in 2016, her mission was to create a space where people could come and embark on their own self discovery through Counselling, Hypnosis, Reiki and Yoga.

Her desire to be of service to people started in 2003 when she began her Advance Diploma as a personal Counsellor with the Australian Institute of Professional Counsellors. Helping people transition through their challenges became a passion and she invested more of her time delving into other modalities that suited more people on a holistic level. Completing all levels in Reiki over 9 years of practice and Studies, becoming Reiki Master Level in 2015.

Completing her studies in Hypnotherapy with The Tad James Company in 2013, she now combines a blend of Counselling and Hypnotherapy in her specialised sessions. Completing her 350 hrs in Yoga Teacher Training in 2017 with the Australian Yoga Academy.
